Busy, Busy

I know I haven't posted in over a week...so much for my grand plan of updating a few times a week! :) We're settling into the new place nicely, though. We didn't have internet for a day or two, but even after we got it hooked up we've either been busy unpacking or just resting, so I haven't been online much.

Everything is fitting into the new place really well. It's a good bit larger than our last house in Memphis, so we know we can fit into it, but it's a bit smaller than the place we were renting, so I was a little worried about feeling squished with a room or two less than we've been used to the last couple of years. However, that's not the case at all. This is a much more open floor plan so it actually feels a lot roomier than the rental house.

We have almost everything out of the rental place. We're going to go by tonight to get mail and grab what we can of what's left. It's mostly just dishes and a few odd things that we didn't want to break on the big truck. Then a quick surface clean, a visit from the carpet cleaners, and we'll be all done.

This weekend we did a lot of unpacking and Greg organized a bunch of stuff in the garage. I also went to a baby shower Saturday and we had a friend over on Sunday night. It's nice to be able to do normal things and unpack when we can, without feeling too rushed to get it all done super fast. :)

But we haven't taken any pictures since the move (and none during the move, darnit) so once we get a few rooms set up I'll get some photos up to share. :)
